First Christian Church is fueled by Christ-centered:

  • Spiritual Growth. We believe in a life-long journey of faith and inquiry.
  • Compassionate Service. We answer God's call to be the hands and feet of Christ
    in the world.
  • Loving Relationships. We welcome and cultivate loving connections with family, church,
    and community.
  • Diverse Thought. We embrace all, without prejudice, to seek God together.
  • Meaningful Celebration. We regularly and joyfully remember our salvation in everything
    we do.

We would love for you to come visit us!

Ash Wednesday Community Open Communion

Feb. 10
Our Sanctuary

Ash Wednesday, which is the first day of Lent, is a time of soul-searching and repentance. We are reminded of Christ’s 40 days of fasting in the desert. This Ash Wednesday our church will hold Open Communion in our Sanctuary from 7:00AM-8:00PM. To enhance your time of self guided meditation and reflection, great works of art will scroll on our screens. Beautiful classical music will accompany the art work. As part of this self guided time of meditation communion will be available on the Chancel. Ashes will also be available for those who wish to make the sign of the cross on their foreheads or hand. This year our Ash Wednesday Communion will be open to the Wadsworth community. Invitations have been extended to community churches through the Wadsworth Ministerial Association. May we, by faith, draw nearer to Christ during this holy season.
