Outreach
In the 25th chapter of the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus challenges us to reach out to others in love and compassion. Our Outreach Committee is dedicated to finding ways to help those in need.
We have monthly outreach projects which range from collecting food for the Salvation Army’s food pantry to painting houses. Our children also participate in Outreach projects through their Sunday school classes and VBS. Serving others through our time and talents is an important way we share God’s love with the world.
Outreach Programs
FCC’s strong Outreach Program engages our Congregation to serve our community of Wadsworth, as well as our state and international partners, in a significant way.
Daily with the installation of our food pantry on our front lawn.
Weekly with our Red Bag Drive for Wadsworth Salvation Army.
Monthly for our County of Medina, with clothing drives for Marian’s Closet.
Monthly with our State of Ohio, helping different groups like The Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron and Cleveland Christian Home.
Nationally and Internationally with groups that we support with our Yearly Compassion Offering; Our Commission to Every Nation (Mission in Guatemala) and Helping Haitians in Need, just to name a few.

Week of Compassion
Week of Compassion is the relief, refugee and development mission fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada. We equip and empower disciples to alleviate the suffering of others through disaster response, humanitarian aid, sustainable development and the promotion of mission opportunities.
Our denomination has a yearly Week of Compassion collection. We at FCC collect for the entire month of February.

International Missions
Guatamala - Commission for Every Nation
We proudly support the Spokes Café and Roasting Company with the mission to hire, train, and provide valuable life skills to Guatemalan youth.
Haiti - Helping Haitians in Need
We are a major supporter of the Puit Chacha Cistern with the mission to provide housing and education for Haitian children and potable water for 2000+ in the community of Puit Chacha.
