At First Christian Church, we believe that all children are treasures from God and have been blessed with unique talents and gifts. With this in mind, the Children's Christian Education Committee strives to provide a loving and nurturing environment in which each child can grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, building a personal relationship with Him. In accordance with God's Word, our mission is to provide Christian Education for all children, focusing on foundational Biblical teaching and imparting Christian values which encourage individual faith development and spiritual growth.

High School students will explore their character and relationships as they relate to their Christian faith. The focus of these wonderful classes will be on knowing God and establishing and enhancing self-concept through His Word. Topics of study will include defining God and His character, personal creation, becoming like Jesus, serving, and personal mission. Areas of discussion will take the student through making good decisions based on God’s will, overcoming insecurities by having a full knowledge of God’s presence, faith for the tough times and dealing with life’s pressures. By the conclusion of the year, each student will have a greater understanding of his/her personal gifts and why God created them for His purpose on earth. Students will be using the Student Application Bible and will explore topics of discussion using “The Uncommon Group Studies: The Christian Life and Listening to God.”
